About Well & Good Psychology
Hi, I am Anna O'Sullivan.
I am a psychologist with experience in general psychology and health psychology. I have worked with individuals (12 years and up) in many charity, hospital, GP, and private settings and have a passion for understanding the mind-body connection. My interests are diverse, and include anxiety, trauma/PTSD, low mood, grief, health conditions and chronic illness, youth and young adult support, and much more.
For therapy to be effective, the fit between psychologist and client is important. Feel free to contact me for an informal chat to see if we are the right match.
My areas of experience include:
anxiety
trauma and PTSD
low mood and depression
grief and loss
stress and adjustment
social challenges, relationships and communication
fatigue and sleep

Prior to Well and Good, I was Clinical Lead/Principal Psychologist for Canteen Aotearoa, and most recently Psychologist for primary mental health and diabetes/renal in Rotorua and Tauranga hospitals respectively.

Therapy with Anna,
I aim for a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to explore their experiences, make sense of their world, and gain valuable tools and skills to move forward with meaning. Therapy is often validating and supportive, and it can be solutions and goal focused, challenging and practical. Where appropriate, therapy can also involve humour and creativity - the conversation is always tailored to your needs and personality.
Therapies I draw on include:
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT),
Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT),
Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy skills (DBT skills),
Mindfulness-based therapies,
Self-Compassion,
and more
Away from therapy, I love op-shopping, streaming a good documentary (I'm a true, true-crime fan), and walking with my two Rarotongan rescue dogs.
